NH Parque Central Hotel Reviews: "Good times!"

I have been to Cuba twice and I never will tire of going...Fate brought me to this hotel and I was surprised by the hotel's samrt and good taste and their highly professional staff. Especially the crew that was in charge of restoration and the cafeteria staff. They were very competent and professional and well versed in tourism services, the waiters were also great, I give everyone here thumbs up!

user a HotelNHParqueCentral.com user, united kingdom - date posted: February 10, 2010 NH Parque Central was amazing. The rooms were very spacious with nice fixtures and fittings. The bar area and reception area were massive and the security on the hotel was 10/10. At least 7 discrete security personel in the bar and reception area. The pool on the roof was top class with magnificent views of the Capitolio building and surrounding hotels. The staff were second to none when it came to helpfulness and service, always had smiles on their faces and always glad to help. The food was also really nice and put a good spread on (exept the bacon, the only issue I had with Cuba was you couldn't get good bacon). The best cigar I ever smoked was from the cigar shop in the hotel and is a stones throw from the cigar factory, la Floridita, the Capitio building and Obispo St. I never like to visit the same place twice as I like to visit new countries but Cuba, Havana and NH Parque Central I would go back tomorrow. Plus without some western/american influences it makes it the best place in the world. Top tip - Learn a bit of spanish before you go, drink plenty mojitos and smoke plenty cigars, 1 peso is enough for a tip or 10% if you eat and stay vigilent when out of the hotel (which goes without saying when in new surrounings although Havana is very safe indeed).

The rooftop pool affords amazing views and is the perfect place to sup a mojito after a long day of sight seeing. Simply stunning. Would love to return one day.

The food was very good. The views from the rooftop pool were awesome. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable about places to visit and local restaurants. Will definitely recommend the hotel to all my friends and can't wait to return.

When I am asked what is my favorite hotel, I don't hesitate in saying, El Parque Central de La Habana. There are many luxurious hotels in the world, but I have never been in any that have surpassed this one in friendliness of staff. From the moment you enter until the time you leave, they address you by name, the attention really impressed me. The stay was great. It is a very luxurious hotel and the pina coladas in the bar...devine.

user a HotelNHParqueCentral.com user, spain - date posted: May 21, 2009 I stayed at this hotel with my brothers and mother in 2006. In my opinion, it is the best hotel in Havana. While staying there, they helped us with an inconvenience that popped up at the last minute. Everyone was very kind, from the receptionists, through the maids, to the waiters and security guards... Breakfast was stupendous, they surprised us every day. The swimming pool was fantastic and the views priceless. I could go on, but I haven't got much space for that. I will simply recommend it to anyone who travels to Cuba. I would love to go back with my family. (Translated from Spanish)

user a HotelNHParqueCentral.com user, canada - date posted: March 6, 2009 My friend and I arrived about 1pm on a Friday and were very pleasantly surprised with the beautiful lobby (just like in the pictures only better) and also very pleased with the room, large and with a window looking on to the Parque Central Square, and the bathroom was also large and very well appointed. The breakfast was wonderful, the dining room pleasant and the pool grrat. I will definitely stay again when I return to Cuba. I would like to know what the statue is in the Parque Central Square? Thanks for a great stay.

The rooms, the food, and the accomodations were excellent. More outstanding than the hotel was the entire staff. Everyone on the staff went the extra mile to make everyone welcome. The staff was bi-lingual and helpful to all guests. The location made visiting Habana very easy. I highly recommend the Parque Central and would stay there again. A special hello to the staff at the lounge in the lobby - especially Anita, who was very helpful to my daughter and me in helping us practice our Spanish.

user a HotelNHParqueCentral.com user, germany - date posted: July 10, 2008 Three years ago, I had the pleasure of spending some days at the Parque Central, as part of a group of 16 tourists. From check in to check out, everything was 100 % satisfaction: the comforts, cleanliness, services, everything is beyond reproach. Even though it is located in the heart of the city (in front of the Capitolio and a few minutes’ walk away from the colonial centre of Old Havana), the noise doesn’t filter into the rooms and the rooftop has a marvelous view. A buffet was prepared for breakfast. The quality of the food did leave a bit to be desired, which is why we chose to eat at a paladar. Being a modern building, the hotel doesn’t have the charms of properties from the past century. However, its pleasant atmosphere makes up for this. We will stay at the Parque Central again in 2009.

user a HotelNHParqueCentral.com user, cuba - date posted: January 6, 2008 We went to Cuba on honeymoon in May 2007 and for the first four days stayed in Havana at the Parque Central. The hotel and staff were great. Buffet breakfast was fantastic and there was that much to choose from you had to taste it all (sets you up for the whole day)!! We also ate at the rooftop barbeque which was also excellent. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The swimming pool on the roof was tremendous and the view overlooking the city (especially at night) was amazing.

Splendid outdoor swimming pool & facilities on top floor. Excellent breakfast buffet. Only the à la carte restaurant disappointed a little bit. All in all a perfect stay. Original review

user ted galvin, canada - date posted: May 24, 2007 I have de oportunity to stay at the hotel with a group that came from Tenerife, we went to "La Huella de España", we were there eight days and we didn't have any problem. The hotel has an excellent location and I recommend it to anyone that want to visit it, I do it with my heart. I would like to send my best wishes from the bellboy to te waitress. My room was 402 a wonderful view of the Central Park and the Capitolio. " This review has been submited originally in spanish. I was very surprised by the cleanliness, the amability of the bell boys, at the reception. The breakfast: Excellent. We just loved the roof top pool and the staff were faultless. The spread for breakfast was amasing, although we chose to dine out at night to take in the city. Cuban cuisine is not the best in the world which is not suprising considering the US embargo, so you are never going to find a Michelin restaurant, so just bear this in mind when visiting. Having visited several other hotels in Havana including the Hotel National, we were just so glad to have chosen this one. It's positioning is second to none. After a week we had to leave to go down to one of the best hotels at Veradero, but this was no where near the standard of the Parque Central. We plan to go back to the PC in January 2007 which will be our base for a month whilst we visit other parts of the country. Good luck Steve and Jenny Smith.
